Embassies support the “Friends of the Child” Association

A few weeks prior to the Christmas celebrations, Embassies in Athens support the “Friends of the Child” Charity Association. The organization is preparing to hold its 16th International Christmas Bazaar, on November 28 and 29,  in Helexpo – Maroussi (39, Kifissias Avenue).

The valuable participation of Embassies will give visitors the opportunity to get familiar with foreign music, Christmas customs, Christmas specialties from many countries around the world. They will also be able to purchase Christmas gifts, clothes and books for their loved ones. The bazaar will be open from 10 am to 8 pm.

The “Friends of the Child” Association is supporting hundreds of children and low income families, by providing them with medical care, groceries, social and psychological support. It is also organizing seminars and workshops for children, holiday activity programs etc. Since the Association’s establishment in 1987 more than 60 Embassies, based in Athens, have supported the organization’s initiatives and efforts. Among them the Embassies of the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Egypt, United States, France, Japan, Kenya, Luxembourg and others. The Embassies of South Africa, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan and many others will participate at their bazaar with their own stand.
