Israel is the guest country at the Equity Investment Forum

Israel is the guest country at the Equity Investment Forum that will be held on December 7-8th in Athens. The Forum is being organized by the Athens Stock Exchange, Enterprise Greece, the Hellenic Venture Capital Association (HVCA), the Praksis Network and the state sponsored TANEO Fund with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship.

Six distinguished Israeli experts in the fields of innovation, R&D, venture capital and legal issues related to patents, will give lectures or hold workshops within the framework of the two day conference on issues like the Israeli high tech ecosystem and methods for achieving success, the Israeli approach to encouraging R&D, financing tools and encouraging entrepreneurship in Greece, corporate innovation, as well as legal issues and property rights.

The aim of the Israeli participants will be to share Israeli know-how and explore possible cooperation with their Greek colleagues both in the workshops a well as the bilateral meetings they will hold with them. In this direction, the Forum will include a special networking event between Greek venture capital funds and the Israeli business delegation under the auspices of the Hellenic Venture Capital Association and Israeli Advanced Technology Industries (IATI), the largest umbrella organization in Israel representing the High Tech and Life Science Industries.

Commenting on the upcoming conference, the Ambassador of Israel to Greece, Ms. Irit Ben-Abba said that: “We are delighted that Israel is the guest country at the Equity Investment Forum and we want to warmly thank the organizers for their kind invitation. As an Embassy, we have already launched a program to further enhance Greek-Israeli cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship that has included visits of several Israeli mentors to Greece. The high level Israeli speakers at this conference will further contribute to establishing synergies between the Israeli and Greek entrepreneurship ecosystems.’

Karin Mayer Rubinstein, CEO Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATA), the largest umbrella organization in Israel representing the High Tech and Life Science Industries.

Dr. Yehoshua (Shuki) Gleitman), Chairman of Capital Point Ltd and former Chief Scientist of Israel.

Yigal Erlich, Founder and Managing Partner, the Yozma Group, one of the founders of the Israeli Venture Capital Industry.

Ehud Levy, General Partner Cannan Partners Israel, entrepreneur and investor with vast experience in the high tech industry.

Boaz Kantor, Innovation Coach At&T Israel

Ehud Hausman, Senior Partner and Patent Attorney, Head of the Hi-Tech Department, Reihold Cohn Law Firm.
