Prominent writers at the 13th Thessaloniki Book Fair

More than 400 exhibitors participate in the 13th Thessaloniki Book Fair, which is currently underway in Thessaloniki, northern Greece until May 15th. Russia is this year’s country of honor, while 20 more countries are participating. This year’s theme is, “Refugees, then and now”.

More than 250 Greek and foreign writers have been invited to attend, from Israel, China, Canada, Germany, France, Egypt, Romania among other countries.

Parallel events include the 3rd Young Writer’s Festival, the International Literature and Translations Festival and several activities for children.

TBF is the only international book fair held in Greece and constitutes a cultural crossroad between Europe, the Balkans, the Mediterranean and Middle East. It is held every May at HELEXPO conference centre in Thessaloniki and is organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, HELEXPO, the Greek Publishers, the City of Thessaloniki, under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
