The Green Energy Association of Israel in Athens

A delegation of the Green Energy Association of Israel (GEA-IL) headed by its Director General and founder, Mr. Eitan Parnass, will visit Athens on September 19-21st with the aim of promoting cooperation including business synergies between Greece and Israel in the fields of green energy and renewable energy sources.  The visit is an initiative of the Embassy of Israel.

The Israeli delegation will meet with Greek officials as well representatives of organizations and companies dealing with green energy and entrepreneurship, including: the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and the Environment, Mr. Michalis Verriopoulos, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Mr. Velissarios Dotsis, as well as high ranking members of the Greek Association of RES Electricity Producers, the Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies (HELAPCO), the Center for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES),  the Greek Solar Industry Association (EBHE), the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), and the IBIDEN, Global Sol, MITOS and PIERALISI companies.

GEA-IL is the main green energy lobbying organization in Israel promoting the implementation of renewable energy electricity production and energy efficiency in the country.  Its founder, Parnass, is also a public pro-sustainability activist in Israel and worldwide. He has served as a board member of several NGOs promoting sustainable energy.  During his visit, Eitan Parnass will be joined by Dr. Ilan Suliman, former Vice Chair of the Israeli Public Utilities Authority and founder of “Iscon E&R Ltd” and Mr. Moshe Avihay, executive member of the Israel Energy Efficiency Association and CEO of the “Energy Efficiency Company.”
