Pricing policy to change at museums and archaelogical sites
Ticket prices at museums and archaeological sites across Greece will be modified to comply with the existing fares at other European tourist attractions, according to the Greek Ministry of Cutlure and Sports. In an announcement the ministry said that the new pricing policy would allow visitors to enter more than one sites in an area, using only one ticket. Once the new scheme is approved, a ministerial decision will allow the application of the measure as of January 2016, “if not earlier”, according to the Ministry.
The new pricing policy will also provide free entrance to archaelogical sites and museums every Sunday between November and March and a 50 percent discount during that period. Tourism experts estimate the new meas to attract more visitors and lead to the rise of revenues.
