“Codegirl” program by the U.S. Embassy and Mataora
The U.S. Embassy in Athens and Mataora are currently running a coding program for girls, aged between 13 and 17, that have a passion for technology. Entitled “CodeGirl”, the program invites young Greek girls to take part in this one-of-a-kind, innovative coding scheme on Saturday and Sunday, December 5-6 & 12-13, between 10:00 and 14:00 at the Bougas School in Kalamata – Peloponnese and at Koventarios Library in Kozani – northern Greece.
Girls will use innovative tools and with the guidance of two experienced female instructors will learn:
• To create simple websites and communicate through the internet.
• To use the HTML5 and CSS programming languages.
• The necessary skills that are now required by the international market.
• The secrets and the future of new technologies.
