“Greek Jews, Holocaust Survivors” photo exhibition at the Cervantes Institute
The Cervantes Institute and the Jewish Museum of Greece present Artemis Alcalay’s photo exhibition, entitled “Greek Jews, Holocaust Survivors, a Visual Narrative”. The exhibition focuses on the lives of Greek Jews that survived deportation and Nazi camps.
The exhibition also includes a section on Sephardic Jews who survived the Holocaust, due to the efforts of Spanish Consul Sebastian Romero de Radigales, who provided them with Spanish passports and insisted on their safe transfer from Germany’s Bergen-Belsen concentration camp to Spain.
The exhibition will open its doors on Wednesday, January 20th at the Cervantes Institute (23, Mitropoleos str., Athens) and it will run until March 19th.
Admission is free.
