A concert by the Hellenic American University Young Creators

Graduates and students in the Composition strand of the Bachelor of Music program will present their works in a concert, on May 17th, in the Hellenic American Union Auditorium.

The concert, entitled “Hellenic American University Young Creators”, features music by William Antoniou, Stathis Kampilis, Manos Markantonis, Konstantina Polichronopoulou, Charalampos Risvas and Andreas Tselikas, all of whom made their professional debut as composers in the Auditorium of the Hellenic American Union.

The works will be performed by Michalis Psiras (baritone);Theofilos Sotiriadis (saxophone), Erato Alakiozidou, Dimitris Marinos, Apostolos Ntarlas and Charalampos Risvas (piano), Dimitris Margaritis (violin), Kostis Theos (violoncello). Also participating is Giannis Karounis (performer).

Developed in accordance with guidelines of the National Association of Schools of Music in the United States, the Bachelor of Music program has a balanced mix of professional music training and instruction in theory and composition. The program provides a well-rounded education in which students not only acquire professional and artistic skills, but also develop character, intellectual breadth, social skills and self-confidence.

The concert is being organized by the Bachelor of Music program of Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) and the Greek Composers’ Union.
