The Greek National Opera House is currently hosting Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Τhe Nutcracker” at the Olympia Theatre. In GNO’ s highly successful production, the choreography focuses on Clara’s dream, a dramatic coming-of-age story through love and fear.

This Renato Zanella’s particular choreography was first presented in 2000 at the Vienna State Opera. The impressive sets and costumes are designed by acclaimed scenographer Christof Cremer, who has collaborated in the past with notable operas and festivals around the world such as the Vienna State Opera, the Dresden State Opera, the Bregenz Festival, the German Opera on the Rhine, the Wiesbaden State Theatre and Opera House, et al.
