Alternate Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Nikos Xydakis, on Tuesday met at the Foreign Ministry with the Indian Ambassador to Greece, Murugesan Manimekalai.
The meeting, which took place in a very friendly atmosphere, reaffirmed the traditionally excellent bilateral relations between Greece and India, as well as Greece’s support for the dialogue between India and the EU.
Also stressed was the very good cooperation between the two countries in the economic sector and the potential for expansion of this cooperation into sectors such as shipping, civil aviation and pharmaceuticals, particularly ahead of the meeting of the Greek-Indian Joint Interministerial Committee in 2016.
Special reference was made to the potential for cultural cooperation, on a bilateral level as well as in the context of international organizations.
