Tourist arrivals at Greece’s major airports increased by 5.7 percent in 2015, compared to 2014, according to figures published by the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE). The total number of arrivals reached 15.5 million.
Arrivals at Athens International Airport in December increased 15.5 percent compared to the same period in 2014, while for the whole year arrivals increased by 22.6 percent.
The Ionian Islands registered a 3.7 percent increase, while arrivals at the Cycladic islands increased by 15 percent.
Arrivals dropped by 12.3 percent in the Pelopponnese.
