A jazz concert with Norwegian trio “Duetrost”
“Duetrost” trio is visiting Athens to perform at Beton 7 on November 12 at 9 PM. The acoustic trio from Norway merges violin, guitar and drums in ways you likely haven’t heard before. Although the music is thoroughly composed, their approach to form and direction allows them to lead the music onto surprising paths through improvisation.
Duetrost are influenced by folk music, classical, blues and the Nordic jazz scene. Their songs are to the point and playful, ranging from whimsical to majestic. Since their creation at the Norwegian Academy of Music 5 years ago, they’ve played concerts all over Norway and recorded music at Ocean Sound, Palazzo Stabile and Rainbow which will be released in the near future.
The event is organized in collaboration with Beton7, the Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian Institute at Athens.
