U.S. Embassy Athens volunteers support MDA Hellas

Members of the Embassy Community Service Network, headed by Mrs. Mary Pyatt helped paint the MDA Hellas home at Victoria Square on December 11, commemorating the International Volunteer Day.

MDA Hellas President Vana Lavidas welcomed the U.S. Embassy Athens volunteers, who also provided a J. Kirby Grant to the organization. A group of sailors from the USS Mahan DDG72 also volunteered for the painting project.
Promoting solidarity and volunteerism was the message the U.S. Embassy group of volunteers wanted to promote ahead of the Christmas period.
